MOS DUB by Max Tannone

[zE]

Max Tannone, formerly known as Minty Fresh Beats, is a producer from New-York who like to play with music and remix it. And create with the most improbable sound: mixing, per example, the rapper Jay-Z and the band Radiohead on his project Jaydiohead.

In this month of April 2010, Max Tannone presents a new project than he calls it Mos Dub. Project which is under the form of an album in free download via Internet.
As he likes to do, Max Tannone proposes a release only composed of home made remix version. For Mos Dub, he attacks the classics from Jamaica. Classics than he had remixed in a style mainly rap music. Maybe with some classics of this kind: I can’t say, I don’t know enough the rap culture.
So, in fact, the album is not really and purely dub. It is more oriented hip-hop with a sound between reggae and rap. But the work is interesting, influenced by the Jamaican music and the process of the dub music.
