Madrid native Gonzalo Rubio started his musical career as a dj during his eight-year stay in France (1996-2004). He has participated in the organization of events with renowned sound systems such as Mental ResÃstance, Bassquik, Mort 2 Rire, and especially over the last 3 years, Absurde. It is with these musical communities he has the chance of touring several European countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, France and the Czech Republic.
In 2000, he gets involved in vinyl pressing with the hardtek label Tek No Logique (TNL), owned by his Italian friend Gotek.
From 2002 until 2004, he is in charge of Tek No Logique Distribution. He then returns to Madrid to create the drum and bass label Melting Pot.
Since its inception, Melting Pot has released six albums, the seventh one being planned for autumn 2007. Melting Pot’s albums are distributed worldwide by Nu Urban. The label also continues working on other styles such as beat hardtek and break beat with its other imprints Boycott, Da Putas Clan and Switch Frequencies.
