Out now on C4C Recordings is the latest release from GETZ!! Although he’s a fairly new kid on the drum ‘n’ bass block, Getz is a guy sure getting around a bit of late: six releases on six different labels in less than a year, and a collaborative album with Nuage also dropping this week!
GETZ –MECHANISM
AUDIO (click here)
A master of the more minimal / halfstep style, Getz realises the importance of space in sound, and as such often does a lot with a little. Here on C4C Recordings Mechanism is no exception, building a subtly mechanical, hypnotic groove around sparse beats, a stark soundscape and subbass so low that without the right woofer you’ll miss out on what makes this tune work!
GETZ – SILENT GALAXY
AUDIO (click here)
Getz fills a lot more of that sonic space on Silent Galaxy, with a cosmic synth lead setting course for the stars. Though there’s not a lot of ‘traditional’ dnb percussion here, the strong sub and entangling bleepy melodies make sure you won’t miss it – drum & bass as we know it is evolving quickly, and if you listen to Getz, you can hear it happening before your very ears!
This release is available exclusively now at BEATPORT (click here) for 2 weeks. Afterwards it will be available everywhere else.
