The slingers e a Syndicate juntam esforços e no sábado, dia 11 de abril, no Porto-rio, apresentam pela primeira vez em portugal o holandês ICICLE, um dos produtores que em 2008 ganhou um lugar de destaque no panorama do drum'n'bass internacional, com edições em várias labels de onde se destaca a shogun audio de friction, a renegade hardware e a subtitles. Numa noite onde as sonoridades mais deep do espectro do drum'n'bass devem imperar, o cartaz conta ainda com NUNO FORTE, um nome verdadeiramente incontornável do drum'n'bass nacional e o colectivo Syndicate em toda a sua força, com SLEEPZ, e os lisboetas DR. KI e MAIN SHIFT ( sly e mr gee), nomes pouco habituais no norte que fazem do cartaz desta festa um dos mais frescos a passar pelo portorio nos últimos tempos.
o upperdeck vai contar também com um line up de qualidade com DJ SPOT num set que navega entre as sonoridades funk/hip-hop/breaks, ficando o dubstep a cargo de DR KI e de MENACE FM.

Icicle was born Jeroen Snik in Holland. At the Age of 8 he first started playing piano, progressing to the drum kit and soon making beats using a basic midi set-up. Aged 15 he became hooked on drum and bass after going to local night "Jungle Galaxy". Getting some turntables and better music making software followed and Icicle was on his way. Taking inspiration from the dirty basslines of heroes Jonny L and Optical and the intricate drum patterns of Photek and Source Direct, Icicle's cold, tech funk sounds have quickly earned him DJ support from Goldie, LTJ Bukem, Fabio, London Elektricity, Pendulum, Andy C, Friction, D-Bridge, Flight, Noisia and Commix amongst countless others. In the space of two short years he has built-up an enviable catalogue of releases on prestige labels including Ram Records, Shogun Audio, Critical Recordings, Renegade Hardware and Subtitles and become a mainstay on the UK DJ circuit, regularly playing venues including Fabric and The End whilst maintaining a hectic touring schedule stretching from Europe to Japan. 2009 sees Icicle relocating to London whilst busily working on his debut album for DJ Friction’s Shogun Audio, the label with whom he recently signed exclusively. Tours of Australia and New Zealand are already on the cards alongside extensive album support alongside the rest of the Shogun family.
